What is a memorial website?

• A page about him/her, this is a page where you can write whatever you want about the deceased life including pictures.
• A page to record all the memories that family members and friends have of the deceased.
• Condolences offered by visitors to the website.
• A photo album
• A mailing list of people who would like to be notified on the yahrzeit date.
• Events page that announces memorial events for the deceased.

How can someone access the memorial website?

The memorial site will be assigned a unique Internet address which includes the name of the deceased, for example familyyahrzeit.com/memorials/johndoe The site can be accessed directly using this Internet address

There is also a search feature available on the website.

Who creates, edits and updates the website content?

When you create the memorial you will be asked to choose a password, which gives you exclusive access to an easy-to-use tool which you can use to add, change or delete website content.
Visitors to the website will also be able to add some items, such as condolences and memorials. As the website manager, you will be able to control what content gets added.

How long does it take to create a memorial website?

It takes approximately two minutes to create the site. Afterwards, you will be able to add and edit content at any time.

What other Jewish related services can I get with my website?

Familyhartzeit offers services like saying kaddish  in Jerusalem on the day of the deceased’s yaharzeit, memorial prayers, learning in the name of the deceased and a full kaddish service for the 11 months after the family member has died.

How much do all these services cost?

Creating an obituary notice is FREE and the notice will stay up for 12 months.

Creating an unveiling notice is FREE and the notice will stay up until the date of the unveiling.

Creating a memorial website is FREE and will be hosted free for a period of 2 weeks.

If you want the website to stay alive after the free hosting period expires, you can choose from 3 packages that we offer;

• Plus, a significant amount of this fee will be donated in the name of the deceased to the charities that you select from a list on our site.
• Plus, you can also choose to have kaddish said on the yahrzeit in Jerusalem, Israel.

The 11 month kaddish service costs $540 where kaddish will be said in Jerusalem every day for 11 months. (A traditional plus memorial site is included in this service).
